MONOCHROMATIC STILL LIFE

Monochromatic color schemes are made up of different tones, shades, and tints within a specific hue. A still life is a composition of small to large inanimate objects. For this assignment, we were instructed to use natural light from a window with simple lighting modification tools. In doing this, I was able to adjust both mood, overall density, contrast, and exposure as well as color!

for this assignment, I used an iPhone 13 Pro and adjusted the exposure accordingly for each photograph - over, normal and under. I put together a collection of pink items from around my apartment that felt representative of different parts of my life. I arranged these items around an off white kitchen chair in front of white closet doors for a neutral background. I took these photos in the afternoon to provide ample sunlight through my bedroom window.
