The job of a photographer is to make images that reflect the personality, mood, geometry, aesthetic and character of each location. The primary goal of this assignment was to enlist thoughtful meaning and collaboration between form, function and message in images. there is a flexibility and an opportunistic spirit that was required for this particular assignment because the photographer must allow themselves to be open to inspiration and spontaneity.

This photo of the sun rising over the clouds in the early morning sky was taken during a recent trip to Texas while departing the PDX airport around 6am. Personally, I have always admired the sky around sunrise/sunset. in this photo, I felt I was able to capture a variety of soft colors associated with sunrise from a great perspective.

This photo was taken at a garage sale in mid July while out one day with my mother. the Late afternoon sun was shining bright above and enveloped the yard, hedges and neighboring roof in light, resulting in a very picturesque photograph that captures the element of summer.

This photo was taken in June when I went to Mexico for the first time. we were in Cancun for a beach wedding and I completely fell in love with how tropical our surroundings were - I felt that I could easily get lost in paradise.
